Was trying out Apple Mail for a bit and having all my Gmail emails forwarded, then was getting a lot of Delivery Status Notification (Failure) emails.

I was forwarding all Gmail emails to Apple Mail and then set it up to go to the Trash in Gmail. Well, I was getting a lot of Delivery Status Notification (Failure) emails in Gmail (inbox) and the mail that was supposed to be forwarded will still go to the trash (gmail) but never be received over at Apple Mail.

In other words, if I was totally reliant on Apple Mail, I would've missed some important emails. I couldn't figure it out. I even contacted Apple but didn't get anywhere. We're not talking about dubious emails that could be construed as spam. We're talking about emails from my mortgage company, credit card companies, FedEx, etc.

I was missing a lot of emails when focused primarily on Apple Mail.

Suffice it to say, I ended up ditching Apple Mail and going back to Gmail. As is well now.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
