iTunes PDF books won't sync to your iBooks app?

You are frustrated.

You can drag and drop PDFs to the iTunes Library icon (iTunes open). They get organized into the Books section. They seem to sync to your iPhone (iPad). Except they don't. Nothing shows up.

You've tried everything. Maybe even inspected permissions.

Try this.

Open iBooks.app.

See that lovely little button that says "Books"?

Tap it.

Now you see your PDFs.

You are welcome.

PS. You can create a collection called "All" and, using Edit, tap on items, then tap Move you can put your Books and PDFs together.

Isn't it a weird UI problem? I wonder if it will change in iOS 5.

I was preparing my throwing arm to sling my iPod through my computer screen. You have saved them both.

What happens when that doesn't work?? :-)

I've synced 60 pdf's and books to the ipad and I only see a couple.

They used to be on the iPad then I unsynced them so i could sync them individually so I could organise them more easily and now I can't see most of them!
